Merrymeeting lake is located in Strafford County NH and is totally in New Durham. The lake is a spring fed glacial lake and the waters are crystal clear. It is one of the few lakes that you can not circumnavigate around the lake by road. When you get to the dam go to the left and your on North Shore Rd and to the right your on South Shore Rd. As you arrive at the lake you will see the fish hatchery and they do have visiting hour. This recreational lake is great for wake-boarding, water skiing and has some great trout fishing. There are hiking trails around the lake and Gunstock Ski Area is about a 40 minute ride and golf courses are in Wolfeboro a 20 minute ride.
