Kanasatka lakefront homes and property in Moultonborough NH ( 371 acres )

Kanasatka is a very pretty lake located in Moultonborough, bordered on the North by Red Hill. It was originally called Long Pond, probably because it is long and narrow. It is only 0.6 miles wide and 20 miles long. In the summer there are walking trails on red hill and in the winter, plenty of snow mobile trails. Kanasatka is 371 acres in size with an average depth of 18 ft and a maximum depth of 40 ft. For you fisherman out there, it might interest you to know that it is a warm water lake. Ski craft for 1 or 2 persons (early model of jet skiis) was banned on Lake Kanasatka on Dec 1st 1989. Moultonborough has hundreds of miles of shorefront and some of the most expensive luxury second homes in the area. Because of this, the tax rate in Moultonborough is very low. In spite of the swell of residents in the summer because it is a resort area, Kanasatka still remains a bit of a jewel and fairly quiet. You might see some wonderful waterskiing out there as it not as busy or rough as some of the larger lakes can get especially on the weekends.
