Bristol NH

is located at the south end of the lake. Fifteen minutes off of Interstate 93 and you are in Bristol town center with banking, restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. Head five minutes up the road and you are at Newfound Lake. The town has a population of just over 3000. The town covers two thirds of the southern half of the lake. Skiing and golf are just a short ride over to Ragged Mountain Resort and the local hospital is just to the north in Plymouth NH. Alexandria NH

is located as you head up the western shoreline. Alexandria is a sleepy bedroom community of just over 1600 residents. Wellington State Park is located on the western shore with a great beach and the state boat launch. The town is home to Welton Falls State Forest and Cardigan State Park with exceptional hiking trails at Mount Cardigan. Skiing and golf are just a short ride over to Ragged Mountain Resort and the local hospital and shopping are just to the north in Plymouth NH. Hebron NH

is another bedroom town on the shores of Newfound. The population is just over 650 and the town center is located at the northwest corner of the lake. The big town event is a July fair. Just relax and enjoy one of the lowest property tax rate in the state of NH. Bridgewater NH

is located on the eastern shore of the lake. This rural town has a population of just over 1000 residents. Skiing and golf are just a short ride over to Ragged Mountain Resort and the local hospital is just to the north in Plymouth NH. Grocery shopping is south in Bristol. Bridgewater, like Hebron, also has some of the lowest property taxes in New Hampshire. Not much happens in town except sitting by the lake relaxing or bragging about the fishing.
